Have you ever wondered what it would be like to feel free?
I mean truly, honestly feel free from your past, your insecurities, and everything you’ve ever let get in your way.
There is no greater feeling than knowing you are YOU, plain and simple. A fearless, strong independent 28-year-old woman is what I defined myself as until I realized that I was identifying with words.
Words are just words so why do they define you?
I am me, Marissa, I choose to live a life full of gratitude, compassion, and love. I choose to be the best possible me I can be. I choose to help, inspire, and push others to do the same.
These are just a few things YOU might choose to do as well. When we start to choose who we are and what we are meant to do, there are endless opportunities ahead. All too often we allow others’ thoughts, opinions and personal experiences to cloud the journey we’ve set out on.
The constant back and forth, you know the voice only we can hear in our heads of “I’m not good enough” or “I won’t succeed anyway so why try?” are beliefs that we have formed about ourselves based on our experiences. Allowing these beliefs to fog our paths is very easy to do and a very hard habit to break.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’s comfortable to allow ourselves to be influenced by everyone else because we listen to that little devil on our shoulder.
The one that is constantly telling you all the things you can’t do, all the things you shouldn’t do, and all the things that make you uncomfortable.
I recently made the decision to go back to school and pursue something completely different than what I’ve known for the past 9 years.
It is terrifying and exciting all at the same time because change is happening, and I am uncomfortably free!
I ask you to choose one thing in your life right now that you could do without and DO WITHOUT IT!
What are you waiting for?
Until next time,
