Yeah, I know…
That blog post name doesn’t really inspire anybody to want to really do anything as a human if it comes with the cost of all that responsibility, does it?
The world revolves around those who are responsible enough to bear its weight.
Sometimes, we don’t want to be Atlas from Greek Mythology every day.
(Atlas was the guy who had to roll the stone up the hill every day - and when the day was done the stone would roll all the way back down to the bottom, forcing him to do it all over again the next day)
So again - some days, we really and I mean REALLY don’t want to have to keep rolling that same stone uphill, do we?
There are days where we want to rest, and those days are much deserved.
What do we do when we are in a situation that we wish was different?
Maybe it seems like everything always goes wrong.
Maybe we endured trauma in our past and are now haunted by it.
We might be in a toxic relationship, have hardships at home, or be ready to walk out of our place of employment.
How can we continue to be responsible humans when it’s as though the world refuses to give us a break?
The responsible human is that human we all look up to.
Hear me out on this - I’m using this generalization because I really do believe that each of us has a person we consider a role model, a big brother/sister, a mom, a dad, or coach, a therapist, an athlete, a movie star...a somebody to somebody.
I bet you the person you are imagining is someone you’d consider a responsible human.
The responsible human seems like they are self sufficient.
They are capable of being resilient during difficult times.
You would probably consider them highly organized, detailed, motivated, inspiring, etc..
Responsible humans seem to pay their bills on time, have a surplus in the bank, and do all the things right 100% of the time.
You see, for us to be responsible in our society, there is a set of standards that are placed on us right from the get go.
When we are born, we must learn how to read and write, do basic math, learn a bit of history, learn some science, then go on to do bigger and better things learning a higher skilled trade or jumping into the workforce; all for the betterment of mankind.
The betterment of mankind...huh?
When does mankind help better ME?!
Right?! High Five! Up Top!
The reality of the situation for a lot of people, unfortunately, is that we are living in a 1st world economy with a 3rd world society.
What do I mean by that?
I mean that a lot of us would much rather show everybody on Instagram and Facebook that we are living a 1st world type of lifestyle, yet we have to suffer and work 6 minimum wage jobs just to survive the lie.
We hide behind the screen, showing everyone just how happy and delighted we are, when deep down there is a stirring pain inside that screams, “Is this all there is?!”
How does The Responsible Human handle these types of situations?
How did The Responsible Human rise above the hurdles and win the day?
Think about it again.
Pretend to be The Responsible Human.
Imagine how it would feel being The Responsible Human.
See yourself installing the personality of The Responsible Human and then ask yourself.
“How would I handle this situation, with my behaviors, thoughts, feelings, actions and the time I have left?”
“How can I make today a win with what I currently have?”
“How exquisitely can I respond in a way that will make me feel good and make positive changes to the world around me?”
When we “become” The Responsible Human - we look outside of ourselves and our limited perspective.
There is a saying that “The Map Is Not The Territory” - which just simply means that whatever might be shown on a map doesn’t necessarily equal exactly what you will see when you look at the location the map gives you.
Sure the map might show you lines of elevation, vegetation, and waterways; however it won’t ever be able to explain the depth and dimension of the space in front of you or the types of wildlife you’ll immediately encounter or where you'll encounter them.
The map that you’ve created of the world around you is going to be vastly differently than the map The Responsible Human has.
This includes behaviors, habits, thoughts, actions, and choices.
You see - successful people, role models, or whoever would be considered “our” Responsible Human - these people all follow the same pattern.
They create the same outcome by applying the same formula.
Of course, it’s not easy to just say “do this = get this result,” however, what exactly is the reason The Responsible Human IS The Responsible Human?
What types of responses would somebody like The Responsible Human have for people who let them down?
What behaviors would make The Responsible Human the type of human they are?
What kind of habits would they have?
What kind of inner thoughts would they allow?
What kinds of choices are the choices they’d make?
If the answer to any of these questions is different than the choice YOU would make - I would suggest you listen to the great advice you just gave yourself.
Each of us has this incredible gift of being able to tap in to a different perspective than our own.
Our human mind is an incredible machine that enables you to see life from different perspectives by asking yourself questions from a different mindset.
In other words, “Become The Responsible Human” and then “Ask The Questions”
By immediately pretending to be this other person, you’ll enable yourself the freedom to make the types of choices THEY would make - rather than the ones YOU used to make.
When you pretend as though you are The Responsible Human and give yourself permission to ACT like The Responsible Human, you open up a creative channel of freedom that each of us have access to at any given moment.
By handing over the “responsibility” of your decisions to The Responsible Human, you allow yourself to get out of your own way...so to speak.
Hypnosis is incredible for helping you step out of your old self and shifting into the mindset and personality traits of The Responsible Human.
